Dear Santa...
You have no idea how strange that is to write.
Believe it or not, I do have a heart buried in here, no matter how many sizes too small it is.
I know other children grew up with an innocent period, and there was a time when they could believe that all of this was real. I've never had the luxury of believing in any miracles other than what I'm able to carve out for myself. So if you could forgive the front of skepticism, I'd appreciate it.
I'm sorry I caused so much distress for the other residents. I don't actually hate them, even if they frustrate me sometimes. With...maybe one or two rare exceptions.
I don't know what to ask for. Going by the myths, what I deserve is a tiny lump of coal. And that's fine. If you can really get a gift to every child...even the ones who are suffering without loving families...that would be a worthy miracle. I don't know if it's really possible, but...I respect that goal. And I'll put what little I have in this world toward making it happen.
