[ there's no turning back now! though he didn't really like keeping secrets from atem. they might not share a body, but their connection was still as strong. he flushes a dark pink at the kiss as he peers up at kaiba. ] You really like doing that, don't you? [ does he mean kissing or does he mean flustering him? or, perhaps, both. ]
[ asdfg. ] K- Kaiba! [ the blush grows more intense as yugi looks aside, swatting at kaiba's hands, though he's just trying to save face. there's no malice in his actions. ] I'm glad you still find me attractive though. It, ah, w- would have been a shame otherwise. [ he laughs nervously, finally getting the courage to look back at him. ] Doomed? I guess I don't want to disappoint. [ gives him a wicked little smirk. ]
[ he's just going to sit there and turn fifty different shades of red. as soon as the embarrassment comes and goes he scoots back and leans into kaiba, setting a hand atop both of his. ] So how should we do it anyway? Just... come out with it? [ he's admittedly kind of nervous. ]
Right. We'll just say something along the lines of...
'Atem, you're our closest friend and you deserve to know this first. Yugi and I have gone through some...interesting changes over the last few weeks, and as our connection grew, it took on another edge.
That's how we ended up dating. I know, it's a shock to us too.'
[ he can’t help but laugh at that. ] “I know, it’s a shock to us too.” Not that you’re wrong, but. [ the laughter tapers as yugi nods. ] I don’t know why I’m feeling so nervous. This is us and this is him. I guess it’s because, maybe, I’ve never been in a relationship like this before... I... I don’t know...
[ he legitimately doesn’t know what has him so nervous. maybe acknowledging it to his other self makes it that much more real. not that it’s not real now, obviously, but it’s at that point he can start screwing up. he squeezes kaiba’s hand, his gaze dropping into his lap. ][ he laughs again, but it’s an airy chuckle, and he feels much better afterward. ]

[ Yugi's reaction is priceless. Kaiba tentatively reaches up to frame his face and stroke his temple, marveling at how hot it is to touch. ]
