What Did Your Character Wish For? To somehow regain his title of King of Games. He's never won a Duel Monsters game against his two important rivals. Maybe this will change that. (At this canon point he has his brother safe, this is the one thing he wants and doesn't have)
What Potion Did They Receive? Red (elemental magic)
Did They Drink It? Not yet, but he's holding onto it. If he's later convinced to drink it, he will start setting off small electrical shocks (like static electricity strength) from his fingers.
Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Mokuba Kaiba, his little brothers. The two brothers lost their parents when Seto was seven and Mokuba was four, and they were briefly bounced around from relatives who stole their inheritance before dumping them at an orphanage. No potential adopters came along who wanted both of them, so Seto manipulated the CEO of a weapons manufacturing company into a deal to adopt them. Seto endured harsh training and being molded into a cutthroat corporate type so he could give Mokuba a comfortable life, but he took to the training a little too well and became cold and ruthless.
Seto took on the role of Mokuba's guardian once their adoptive father was removed from the picture, and the two of them are willing to risk anything to protect each other. Seto is determined to win any game, because 'to lose is to die' as his adopted father taught him. But Mokuba is the one person he'll back down from a game for. Mokuba fears the changes in his brother and misses when they were happier...but he hangs on, and hopes for his brother's smile to come back.
2. What are they most afraid of?
Kaiba is most afraid of loss. 'To lose is to die', after all. At first, this manifests as a fear of losing important card duels (though in fairness losing duels in his world can have bad consequences, like losing your soul to a madman). He's also afraid of losing face, losing his dignity. But losing his brother is his biggest fear of all. He will mow down any opponent who stands between him and his brother, no matter what it takes...and when Kaiba fears he's lost Mokuba, that's when he loses all grip on rationality.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Kaiba's biggest emotional weakness is, ironically, that he believes that forming bonds with other people is a weakness. He is well aware that his attachment to his brother Mokuba opens him up to extortion attacks and manipulation, so he avoids forging bonds with anyone else for the most part. He did form a connection of respect and mild trust with his biggest rivals in Duel Monsters...but he's fiercely in denial about it. It takes time for him to realize that emotional vulnerability isn't the worst thing ever.
His biggest mental weakness is stubborn single-minded fixation on winning his title back. 'To lose is to die' tends to lead toward him stubbornly throwing himself over and over again at what seems to be the most obvious solution, convinced that he in his genius is correct, and overlooking less obvious solutions. He's especially prone to this problem if an easier way to solve the problem is through cooperation, but he'll have to work on that.
His biggest physical weakness? Well. He is roughly string-bean shaped, and though he has some athletic ability, he's still a squishy human with a slight build and easy to throw around.
4. What would make them happiest?
It's difficult for Kaiba, because he hardly remembers a time when he was happy. But he believes that living in a world with his brother at his side safe and sound would be best. If he were to win his King of Games title back and have his pride intact, it would be even better. Ultimately, though...what he thinks he needs is the dueling title. What he actually needs for his happiness is safety and security.
Which might come to him if he ever loosens up and forges a few bonds! It'll be a work in progress.
5. What’s their type for a lover?
Kaiba's currently too emotionally stunted to think consciously about romance, but the closest thing he's ever felt to that type of bond is his rivalry with the pharaoh Atem. Atem both intrigues and infuriates him because he's as skilled in games as Kaiba, always keeps him guessing, and projects authority despite his slight stature. Ultimately, in a relationship, Kaiba would want to feel intellectually stimulated. He gets a sort of adrenaline rush in high-stakes duels, especially against his favorite opponent.
And while Kaiba isn't the best at understanding concepts like 'friendship', Atem has taught him the power of cooperation. A skilled person he can fully respect and even trust, somewhat...that's what he would look for in a lover, if he could think in those terms.
